"The first time I wore these it was for an intense weekend of hiking in the rain forest. They survived the first 3 mile hike without a single problem, but by the end of the weekend and the last 6 mile hike, my left boot was filled with water. The sales associate said it was from a bad seem that let water seep through, so I just exchanged them for an identical pair. I havn't found any other boot as comfortable as these. They didn't need broken in, they accomadate my wide foot and high arch and for the MOST part. they can survive a rain forest."
